We are situated in Alverstoke, Gosport, on the South Coast near Portsmouth, 400 yards form the beautiful Stokes Bay on The Solent overlooking the Isle of Wight Stokes Bay Beach is 2 minutes walk away with award winning picnic spots.
Many of our guests enjoy walking on the sea shore taking in the fresh sea air and watching the very busy waterway, that is the home training ground for many internationally famous yachts people, also taking refreshment at the fine beach side cafés
Perfect to watch the sunset or the cruise liners sail down The Solent as they depart Southampton for far away lands.
Alverstoke Village is in walking distance with a convenience store, pub, restaurant, a great fish and chip shop, Chinese restaurant, post office, tea rooms, gift shops and more.
Gosport Town Centre is a 4 minute drive or 20-30 minute walk away. From Gosport Town Centre you can take a passenger ferry to Portsmouth and it's train station (7 minute journey) runs everyday from 05:30am - midnight.

The Diving Museum
Gosport is the home of the global diving industry. The co-inventor of the diving helmet, John Deane, lived in Gosport from 1835 to 1845 during which time he discovered the Mary Rose. The first diving helmet ever sold by the inventors was to a Gosport mariner, Henry Abbinett. Gosport represents a natural home for the country's premier historical diving museum. click for website

Once across the water there are main transport links at the ferry around Portsmouth & Southsea as well as many main attractions at the ferry hub.

Built in 1544, the Castle was part of a series of fortifications constructed by Henry VIII around England's coasts to protect the country from invaders. Barely was the work completed when Henry VIII's flagship, the Mary Rose, tragically sank in front of the Castle. During the English Civil War, nearly a century later, the Castle was captured for the only time in its history, by Parliamentarian forces.

Booking & Payment
All courses booked must be paid for at least four weeks in advance of the course. We will require a non - refundable £50 deposit for all courses. Any refunds for bookings will incur a £10 administration fee. We accept all major credit and debit cards except Amex.
